A note about shipping around COVID-19 uncertainty:
For Deep Magic, we've scaled back our efforts to include duty/tax/fee payments in our shipping rates to destinations outside of the US, with the exception of Canada. That means you may be required to pay appropriate duties, taxes, or fees on delivery/pickup. To limit this impact as much as possible, we’ve used graduated rates for shipping. Our intention is to get items to you with predictable rates. We’re using the United States Postal Service to ensure fixed rates and predictable expenses on our side. Thank you for understanding.

Hello Backers!
We are closing the Deep Magic BackerKit on June 4th. That means we will not be accept outstanding orders after that date. Deep Magic was fulfilled in July 2020, and this is your last chance to request any products backed during the Kickstarter. Any submitted orders that include out of stock items, such as Limited Edition covers, will be replaced with standard products and store credit for the Kobold Press Store website. All shipping is USPS only due to COVID, as noted in the pre-order store.
For those who haven't yet gotten your rewards or who haven't completed your order, please take a moment to return to BackerKit to do so now. If you have lost your survey, then you can use this link to access your survey.

Deep Magic Spell Cards on Kickstarter!

Greetings, all!
Because you showed your love for vast collections of spells by backing Deep Magic, we knew you’d want to know about our brand new project on Kickstarter, the Deep Magic Spell Cards! These poker-sized cards feature every spell from the book you supported, ready for easy transport and reference wherever your adventures may take you. There are more than 1,400 spell cards in all!
We’ve packaged up all the spells from the complete spell lists of each class into their own decks, held in sturdy two-section lift boxes (similar to a board game box). They include:
Arcane 0–3: over 350 cards of spell levels 0 to 3 for fledgling Sorcerers, Warlocks, and Wizards.
Arcane 4–9: over 250 cards of spells levels 4 to 9 for reality-bending Sorcerers, Warlocks, and Wizards.
Bard: over 190 cards of spell levels 0 to 9 for Bards of any artistic inspiration.
Cleric: over 270 cards of spell levels 0 to 9 for Clerics devoted to all pantheons.
Druid: over 210 cards of spell levels 0 to 9 for Druids seeking to harness Nature’s might.
Paladin: over 60 cards of spell levels 1 to 6 for Paladins ready to expand their magical repertoire.
Ranger: over 110 cards of spell levels 1 to 4 for Rangers striving to bring down their prey.

Pocket Edition Now Available

Hello backers!
We are excited to announce a new format of Deep Magic. Because you helped us bring the original book to life, we wanted you to be the first to know. If you want a more portable version of Deep Magic to take to gaming sessions or if you have a friend who has been contemplating getting Deep Magic but wants a less expensive option, then check out the Deep Magic Pocket Edition.
The pocket edition contains all the same content as the hardcover but in a smaller package. It is 6.6" x 8.5" and has a soft cover. The photo below is of our Tome of Beasts hardcover and pocket editions to give you an idea of the size difference.

Hello Backers!
The Vault of Magic Kickstarter will be ending soon. Over the course of the Kickstarter, we have added several new guest designers, including Rudy Basso, DM Noir, Patrick Rothfuss, Gail Simone, and Bee Zelda!
We have also unlocked 50 stretch goals, and we have just a few more art and guest item reveal stretch goals remaining in these final hours.

A Vault of Magic Opens! - New Kickstarter

Hello Backers!
We hope you are doing well and staying warm in your warrens. Our warrens are abuzz with activity as we open our vault of magic items and let them out into the world (for better or worse!).
The Vault of Magic is a book chock full of over 800 setting-agnostic 5e magic items. We are also very excited to have several guest designers creating items for our vault. Such guest designers include Deborah Ann Woll, Adam Bradford, Luke Gygax, Meagan and Todd Kenreck, and many more! You can watch chats with some of these designers on the Kobold Press Youtube Channel (check out the announcement video and subscribe to be notified when we add more guest chat videos!). If you want to join the chats live and ask our guests some questions, join us each Wednesday at 12 PM Pacific on the Kobold Press Twitch Channel.
Our backers have already unlocked almost two dozen stretch goals, which include adding a ton of new magic items, such as druidic items, bearfolk honey items, witchy concoctions, magic arrows and bolts, magic contracts, and Fabled items (items that increase in power as your character increases in level)!
